More locations added!
Since the end of March we have distributed almost 1400 seed packets to the little free cabinets! Seven neighbors have helped with packing seeds, others have purchased envelopes, and a still others have helped set-up distribution sites.
We now have 6 neighborhood locations being stocked with free seeds- 3 in Midway, 2 in Frogtown and 1 in Como neighborhood. The main blog page is updated with locations. Our first seeds shared were native perennial flowers. These are now gone from cabinets. Not just because the supply is gone, but many of these perennial flowering plants require a cold period for seed germination. We are largely past that window now. Stop back frequently to the little free cabinets as selection and varieties change! Over the next week, we expect to roll out the tomato seeds further and add a new category of “direct sowing into the garden”.
